This fact sheet summarizes information on crops, dairy, farmland sales, and farmland values for the Southeast District in Wisconsin between 1990 and 2002. It is meant as a companion piece to more extensive data available on the Wisconsin Land Use Data CD and the PATS website. The changes in the crop sector in this district showed a slight decrease in total acres of major crops and significant changes among individual crop types. The dairy industry experienced a turn around since 2000 after major losses during the 1990s. Farmland values and farmland conversion rates were highly varied by county, but on average the value of farmland was extremely high throughout the district.
